Mindfulness – letting the mind be ‘present’
There is an increasing recognition of the benefits of this approach within the pages of the press and media, for example see this link from the BBC’s ‘Today’ program.
Mindfulness is a meditative practice which is available to all and can be practised within a religious or secular context, at home or work, in the park, street, church or temple. Mindfulness approaches have been adapted for particular conditions as well as for general health and well-being. These approaches are being scientifically investigated with encouraging results. One of the premier centres for this is in the UK is Bangor University’s Centre for Mindfulness Research and Practice where I have studied.
I have no plans for open workshops at this time. Details of previous sessions I have done for particular organisations and client groups are available on the ‘Other activities’ tab on this site.
Please contact me if you are interested in one-to-one sessions.
